- No cruise ship has sonar. Not all Navy warships have sonar. They do have depth finders, but those only tell you how deep the water is underneath your keel and don't look ahead of your course. It's not practical to outfit sonar on every ship nor is it something necessary.

- Gee, Spirit, you know what, in Europe that prices of goods you see on the shelf and whatnot include the VAT. There is no surprise when you get to the register and forgot to factor in the sales tax and realize you are a dollar short.

- Interestingly, you go to the Aveda site and the price is $10.50. So close, but not quite under $10. And it's amazingly an 8.5oz bottle. Still less then in drug store brands, but not sample sized.

- We used to buy Sony, but around 2000 the quality went way down. I had a Sony DVD player that only lasted about a year and for the price, you don't get the best anymore. Sony stuff is low quality and overpriced other than perhaps the PS3.

- Couldn't agree more. I have a daughter and under no circumstances would I let her submit a picture where she looks like hooker to her yearbook. And if those were taken by a professional, I'd have that person up on child porn investigation.

- I feel so sorry for this young woman who was pushed into a surgery she clearly was not emotionally ready for. The article is right, there are a lot of tough issues surrounding doing this to a teenager or early 20 something.

- Gee, considering Unions with their negotiations for over inflated salaries and benefits almost brought down the American Big Three, I wonder why the transplants want nothing to do with them. Before there were laws protecting employees from overwork and unsafe conditions, unions had a place.

- I can't believe someone would pay $110k for education at a state school. I can only guess that he was out of state. Whatever state he was living in at the time, he should have attended one of those state schools. Tuition would have to be less than $35k a year.
